Therapist (AOP)

Salary is commensurate with experience within a range of $66,000 - $80,000 annually. This position is full-time, salaried, exempt, and eligible for our benefits. A. Responsibilities and Duties: The primary responsibility of the Adult Outpatient (AOP) Therapist will be to provide mental health services based on the application of clinical social work and/or clinical psychology theory and principles. Specific duties include:

1. providing therapy that includes goal oriented, and empirically based models for individual, group, family, and couples in the office;

2. providing services with the goal of collaboration and coordination with other community service providers;

3. participating in training and supervision and providing public information;

4. completing at least five initial assessments per week and making appropriate referrals;

5. may undertake special teaching and training activities as requested;

6. delivering reimbursable hours of service compliant with established standards;

7. completing all documentation associated with the financial, clinical, legal, or regulatory management of the case or the Center's operations in a timely and accurate manner; and

8. providing at least two evidence based groups with adolescents and/or adults per week;

9. assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient program of services.

10. regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

B. Accountability: The AOP Therapist will be directly accountable to the AOP Program Team Leader or his/her designee. The AOP Team Leader or his/her designee will, no less than annually, complete a performance evaluation in compliance with personnel policies.

C. Qualifications: The AOP Therapist position requires:

1. graduation from an accredited four year college or university, a master's degree from an accredited school of social work, a Master's of Arts degree, or a doctorate degree in clinical psychology

2. at least two years of experience in the mental health field;

3. a Licensed Master's level Social Worker (LMSW), an Licensed Master's level Psychologist (LMLP), an Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW, or a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist (LCP) in the State of Kansas;

4. prior computer experience and basic computer fluency;

5. must be able to achieve within one's first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center's electronic medical record (EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record;

6. reliable transportation and a valid, unrestricted driver's license;

7. an ability to work independently and in cooperation with others;

8. strong organizational skills;

9. strong oral and written communication skills;

10. strong interpersonal skills in working with diverse public;

11. flexibility in assigned working hours;

12. a commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches; and

13. an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work place.
