Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $53,700 to $65,000 annually. Full time, exempt, benefits eligible. The Organizational Excellence Coordinator (OEC) primary responsibility will be to oversee state licensing reviewed and related activities, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation efforts, the agency risk management and safety program, and the agency accessibility plan. The OEC will work with program staff of all levels of the organization to support, develop, and improve the quality of services being delivered to persons served.
The individual in this position will possess skills project management, critical thinking, and problem solving, is an effective communicator, collaborator, and is results oriented. The Organizational Excellence Coordinator duties will include but not limited to:
· Licensing
- Develops understanding and familiarity with community mental health center and crisis intervention center licensing regulations and serves as a resource agency wide.
- Provides oversite of state licensing review/related activities and all efforts related to licensing compliance.
- Identified policy and training content that aligns with current agency practice, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
· Accreditation
- Develops a thorough understanding of the CARF Standards and works with Quality Improvement and CARF champion team members to successfully achieve and maintain CARF standards.
- Facilitate internal monthly CARF Champions meetings.
- Prepares and submits applications, annual reports, QIP reports, and other required accreditation documents for CARF within the assigned time limit.
· Risk Management and Safety
- Investigates information reported in incident reports and completes standard of care determinations.
- Provides monthly summaries of incident report trends at monthly QM meetings as well per request by program directors.
- Serves as a CARF co-champion for section 1.H. Health & Safety.
- Provides oversight of the development and implementation of the accessibility plan and stays up to date on accessibility compliance as it relates to ADA, CARF, CCBHC and practices within the scope of the agency.
· Other duties
- Serves as a subject matter expert for the emergency management notification system, document repository, and cybersecurity training system.
- Assists agency team members with updating policies and assists with communication of policy updates to the Community Engagement Team to ensure agency wide education.
Qualifications include but not limited to:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a social work, counseling, psychology, education, health information management, or healthcare administration, public health, and/or equivalent experience and/or equivalent expertise.
- Proven experience in successfully managing projects within healthcare, rehabilitation services, or related field.
- Ability to accurately interpret standards from policies, contracts, and manuals and develop action plants to implement.
- Strong individual organization, project management, and reporting skills.
- Excellent writing, reasoning, and analytic skills to interpret data to present in written and oral formats.
- Able to work both independently with minimal direction and in cooperation with others.
Preferred qualifications:
- A current license in good standing with the behavioral health, public health, medical and/or nursing field(s).
- General knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 requirements and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) regulations.
- Experience participating in quality improvement activities.
