The primary responsibility of the Admissions Specialist will be to coordinate each client's admission to the Center.  

Some specific duties include:

  • Creating new admission charts prior to initial intake appointment
  • Meeting with clients who present for intake, completing paperwork, gathering admission data, entering information into the computer and setting up intake appointments with an intake therapist
  • Completing brief risk assessment and coordinating care needs with treatment teams
  • Providing psychosocial interventions as needed and directed by supervisor;
  • Answering admission phone calls, completing monthly reports as assigned


  • High school graduate or equivalent plus some experience in healthcare and mental health related clerical or billing procedures
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Strong organizational skills
