CFS Outpatient Therapy Program Manager

A.  Responsibilities and Duties:  The primary responsibility of the Child & Family Services (CFS) Therapy Program Manager will be to lead and develop the members of the clinical therapy team and manage direct service provision for children and youth.  Also, a primary focus of the CFS Therapy Program Manager is designing and implementing programs aimed at providing critical services for children and youth and coordinating with agency and community partners to ensure provision of the highest quality care. 

Specific duties include:

1. maintaining and directing the clinical appropriateness of all services for the team and being responsible for the clinical direction and outcomes of all clinical cases managed by the team;

2. providing clinical supervision to the team members, including weekly individual supervision meetings and team consultation meetings;

3.  developing mutually agreeable client driven goals for each person served and team goals, and providing crisis intervention, and other community-based services as needed;

5. working closely with referring agencies/entities to address all goals and concerns;

6. closely coordinating intervention activities with other team and community members, as needed;

7. delivering services based on medical necessity and domain(s) of impairment. 

8. providing effective leadership to the team including directing, modeling, development, training, service coordination, and service delivery;

9. providing feedback and consultation to team staff regarding level of care, service provision, resource acquisition, coordination of services, assessment, goal setting, use of the child/adolescent/family strengths, or other areas of concern;

10. utilizing data to evaluate service delivery, employee performance and team outcomes;

11. assisting in the hiring, training, and evaluation of team staff;

12. completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal, or regulatory management of client care or the Center's operations in a timely and accurate manner; and

13. assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient preventative program of services.

15. additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

B.  Accountability:  The Child & Family Therapy Program Manager will be directly accountable to the Clinical Director, or designee.  The Clinical Director, or designee, will complete supervision notes on a monthly basis and annual reviews in compliance with personnel policies.

C.  Qualifications:  The Child and Family Therapy Program Manager position requires:

1. a master's or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, or a human service field otherwise, licensed and/or registered at the clinical level in these fields, and three years of experience in youth service delivery;

2. demonstrated proficiency in child development theory and a child welfare perspective to practice;

3. comfort and efficiency with various assessment and intervention modalities, such as brief solution-focused approaches, family systems theory, social skills training, and behavior management;

4. a knowledge of community resources;

5. proficiency in team leadership and a capability for mature, capable of creative and independent judgment and action;

6. reliable transportation and a valid, unrestricted driver's license;

7. prior computer experience and basic computer fluency;

8. must be able to achieve within one's first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center's electronic health record (EHR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record;

9. an ability to work independently and in cooperation with others;

10. an ability to exercise sound independent judgment;

14. flexibility in assigned working hours;

17. experience in coordinating and leading a clinical team;

18.  experience in clinical interventions with children and families, including crisis intervention;

19.  experience in working with school personnel and in school settings;

20.  Must be able to achieve within one's first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center's electronic medical records (EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record.

Bert Nash Center requires proof of Covid-19 immunization prior to starting any position. Covid-19 vaccine series must be completed or in process to be cleared for new hire orientation.
