Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $120,000 to $135,000 salary, full time, exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities: The Director of TRC is responsible for the oversight and development of all clinical and operational functions of the Treatment & Recovery Center (TRC). This Director is responsible for developing, planning and implementing strategies for program sustainability, improvement, and growth. This position provides both clinical and personnel supervision of all staff. The Director of TRC sets the culture and priorities, in partnership with the Medical Director, for the TRC by actively engaging in staff, program and leadership development, exhibiting strong communication skills, fostering teamwork, collaboration and building a culture of accountability for excellence. The Director of the TRC is responsible for building positive working relations within BNC departments, within Crisis Services as a division, and beyond BNC within the broader community partners. Specific duties include but not limited to:
- Leads the TRC Leadership Team in the planning, development, implementation and budgeting of clinical operations.
- Leads the planning and coordination of activities related to the operations of the TRC.
- Works with the Crisis Services Sr. Director to facilitate effective governance including timely and efficient meetings, open discussion of key issues, timely communications, and other functions.
- Researches, considers, and creates opportunities for internal and external growth of the TRC in Douglas County.
- Apprises Crisis Services Sr. Director of emerging problems and trends affecting crisis services and develops recommendations with solution focus and plans for action.
- Integrates the clinical functions of the TRC within existing internal practices within BNC for seamless care transitions, and with external community partners and agencies [e.g. Heartland, DCCCA, Heartland RADAC, law enforcement, health, judicial, social service, and educational agencies].
- Manages fiscal operation of facility using the budget as a guideline for revenue and expense analysis to determine potential variances and make changes where necessary and works cooperatively with funding agencies/entities to provide information regarding the financial performance of the TRC.
- Manages the TRC team's performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback and addressing performance concerns promptly.
- Ensure services, and the facility are in conformity with all applicable accreditation, regulatory and licensing standards to include CARF and CCBHC.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The Director of the TRC requires but not limited to:
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling other mental health related field, or be a Registered Nurse or have experience demonstrating strong competence and knowledge of the field
- Five years of management experience in a mental health environment, including a minimum of three years of senior level experience.
- Must have at least three years of experience with direct service as a clinician, case manager, or other mental health professional.
- Shall possess a license to practice independently in the State of Kansas from the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board or possess a nursing license as an RN by the State of Kansas Board Nursing.
- 10 years of clinical, crisis operations, or relevant experience.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision for staff seeking independent licensure.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations.
- Possess interpersonal savvy and open and responsive to constructive feedback.
- Strong demonstrated leadership skills.
