Staff Accountant

Pay is based on experience within a range of $32.21 ($67k) - $35.58 ($74k). Full time, hourly, and benefit eligible. Responsibilities: The primarily responsibility of the Senior Staff Accountant is to support the organization's day-to-day accounting transactions of the center as well as complete and advance financial reporting and analysis for internal and external BNC stakeholders. Specific duties include but not limited to:

  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assist with the monthly close process.
  • Create financial statements and reports, generate and maintain records, and manage general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with the recording of revenue, cash receipts, and receivable accounts - including providing support to the Revenue Cycle Management (billing and claims) department.
  • Assist with the processing and recording of invoices, accruals, prepaids, and payments to vendors.
  • Research program and account variances to provide in-depth insight on the identification, explanation, and correction as appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations for organizational assets and liabilities.
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: The Senior Staff Accountant position requires but not limited to:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Master's Degree and/or Professional Certifications are not required, but a plus.
  • 4 to 6 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • High level of trust and dependability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to clearly present and explain complicated information to diverse audiences
  • Take initiative, identify opportunities for improvement, and be able to work independently.
  • Adaptable to changing demands and priorities.
