The PRN Mobile Crisis Specialist serves as part of the Mobile Response Team and Crisis Division of BNC. The MRT collaboratively responds to a broad range of community needs including high acuity individuals or those with complex circumstances and is responsible for providing mobile and/or onsite behavioral health crisis services to individuals across life stages throughout Douglas County, Kansas. Team members in this position will be adept that providing brief, intensive crisis services with the goal of reducing the need for hospitalization, diverting from justice system contact, and assisting with other diversion activities.

The primary responsibility will be to safely respond in partnership with MRT teammates to provide solution-focused and recovery-oriented interventions at the point of a behavioral health crisis or concern in the community. A good portion of service provision will involve active crisis responses and brief transitional crisis support. Services can be offered through collaborative multidisciplinary, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented approaches.
