Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Full time, exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Intensive Outpatient/Dialectical Behavior Licensed Therapist will be to provide a wide range of mental health services for clients who are in need of intensive and acute mental health treatment.  The primary intervention method used will be Dialectical Behavior Therapy adapted specifically for this population and level of care.  Training and on-going supervision in this methodology will be provided.  Therapy services will be provided in the office, home and community environment.  Specific duties include but not limited to:

• Providing psychotherapy that includes goal oriented, and empirically based models for individual, group, family, and couples in the office and in home or community settings with an emphasis on intensive, acute-need and crisis stabilization services;
• Providing services with the goal of collaboration and coordination with family and community service providers;
• Providing services related to court evaluations and testimony, and  consultation and education activities;
• Completing systematic assessments that include a thorough evaluation of psych-social, diagnostic, strengths and liabilities of the client and assisting in accessing resources available to the client in the community.  The evaluation will include a collaborative process with the client and/or family in setting realistic goals and objectives for the process utilizing best practice standards of care.
• Implementing intervention techniques that are based on continual evaluation of treatment goals and focus of the process.  Goals for treatment will be written in measurable and objective language to monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes.
• Participating in public information and public relations activities, and to serve as a community liaison and advocate for mental health and the Bert Nash Center
• Completing additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Qualifications include but not limited to: 

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus a master's degree from an accredited school required
• Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Kansas, Licensed PhD Psychologist by the Behavioral Sciences Board in Kansas, Licensed Social Worker who in process of attaining clinical licensure with education and/or experience in DBT will be considered.
• A commitment to the principles of partnering with family and community  resources.
• Established experience in providing mental health services utilizing empirically supported methods such as: cognitive-behavioral and/or mindfulness based treatments, and other theory based treatment models;
• Commitment to developing cultural diversity in the workplace and in service  delivery;
• Knowledge of and ability to evaluate and apply research findings as applicable for treatment
• Strong evaluation, assessment and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of and skill to provide intervention techniques utilizing proven treatment models and modalities;
• Desire and commitment to learn Dialectical Behavior Therapy and willingness to focus primarily on DBT as an intervention model and to engage in on-going training and supervision in this process.
• Flexibility in assigned working hours, and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
• A commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center  approaches;
• A commitment to following all legal and ethical guidelines and standard of the profession and the Center.
