Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Student Intern IOP/Acute Care will be to provide mental health services based on the application of marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, and/or clinical psychology theory and principles. Specific duties include but not limited to:

• providing individual, family and adult therapy;
• providing services with the goal of collaboration and coordination with other community service providers;
• completing clinical intake assessments and making appropriate referrals;
• delivering reimbursable hour of service compliant with established standards;
• completing all paperwork associated with the financial, clinical, legal or regulatory management of the case or the Center's operations in a timely and accurate manner; and
• assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient program of services.
• Attend all associated term meetings.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

Qualifications: The Student Intern IOP/Acute Care position requires but not limited to:

• graduation from an accredited four year college or university plus be enrolled in a program of study that will lead to licensure/certification in the approved field of study;
• prior computer experience and basic computer fluency;
• reliable transportation and a valid, unrestricted driver's license;
• an ability to work independently and in cooperation with others;
• strong organizational skills;
• strong oral and written communication skills;
• strong interpersonal skills in working with diverse publics;
• flexibility in assigned working hours;
• a commitment to interdisciplinary and community mental health center approaches; and
• an energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex work place.
