Unit Coordinator - Treatment & Recovery Center

Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $18.75 - $22.32 per hour. Part time benefited (36 hours per week), non-exempt, benefits eligible. Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Unit Coordinator (UC) provides monitoring, supportive, and safety services in an urgent care, medical, and psychiatric emergency setting that serves individuals across the lifespan through a multidisciplinary and collaborative service approach. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

  • Registers individuals for services, including verification of Medicaid eligibility, enrollment with the Medicaid, and/or confirmation of other third-party insurers. Collects appropriate authorizations and release of information documents. Schedules appointments (if applicable).
  • Greets and receives visitors. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
  • Monitors patient safety uses de-escalation and physical intervention strategies, such as seclusion and restraints, to maintain patient and staff safety.
  • Monitors for presence of potential weapons and secures weapons when discovered.
  • Arranges pick up orders with police. Documents all efforts made to law enforcement regarding pick up orders.
  • Promotes a welcoming environment with excellent customer service. Serves as a resource to families, visitors and vendors.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS include but not limited to:

Required:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be 21 years or older.
  • Prior computer experience and basic computer fluency; willingness and ability to learn new programs; familiarity with MS SharePoint is a plus.

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • One year of college course work in the field of human services or one year of experience in the field of human services; or other experiences with individuals across the lifespan who experience symptoms of behavioral health and can serve a basis for understanding symptoms and treatment; a combination of at least one year of education, and/or work, and/or experience in the field of human services can substitute for a year in any one area.
  • At least 3 years of clerical experience.
