As a participant in the PRN MRT Staffing Program, you understand your ability to maintain flexibility in assigned work hours with dependable and predictable attendance adhering to position schedule is an essential function of the job. 4 shifts per calendar month is the minimum preferred.
Day Shift is defined as any hours worked between 8am ? 3pm; Evening Shift is defined as any hours worked between 3:00pm and 11:00pm;Night Shift is defined as any hours worked between 11:00pm and 2:00am
Evening shift differential $2, Night shift differential 2.75
Weekend shifts are defined as being worked between 11 pm Friday through 2am Monday
Weekend Day shift differential $2
Weekend Evening shift differential$3.25, Weekend Night shift differential $4
PRN employees who are scheduled and have worked hours on a holiday as observed by MRT will be compensated at 2x their base hourly rate, plus any applicable differential as outlined above
The primary responsibility will be to safely respond in partnership with MRT teammates to provide solution-focused and recovery-oriented interventions at the point of a behavioral health crisis or concern in the community. A good portion of service provision will involve active crisis responses and brief transitional crisis support. Services can be offered through collaborative multidisciplinary, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented approaches.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Response must occur within 45 minutes of contact being made
Aid in access to recommended services such as inpatient hospitalization, substance abuse services, outpatient therapy, child rehabilitation services, adult rehabilitation services, and psychiatric services
Collaborate with BNC MRT colleagues and other outside providers in the coordination of appropriate service and level of care
Meet and comply with all administrative and clinical documentation requirements for crisis division staff
Meet direct service expectations and comply with other standards as established
Attend and actively participate in program staffing, clinical supervision 1x monthly during shift
Provide input to supervisors and other treatment team members regarding clinical or program issues
Coordinate services between agencies or multidisciplinary providers on behalf of the client
QUALIFICATIONS include but not limited to:
Bachelor's degree in human services
Demonstrated knowledge of the theory and practice of human services at the Bachelor's level having 1 - 2 years' experience working in a social services role
Basic level knowledge of community mental health services, crisis intervention models, stages of change, and understanding of behavioral health concepts and presentation is strongly preferred
Ability to provide screening, brief intervention, and referral to services for SUD
Team player and invested in supporting clients in crisis

REQUIREMENTS
Must be located geographically in Douglas County for entirety of shift duration to ensure consistent and efficient crisis response team.
Must be willing to collaborate and coordinate with local law enforcement/EMS/hospital emergency department/multidisciplinary community partners as appropriate and necessary to coordinate care and ensure a safe environment for the patient and staff providing mental health support and assessment.
Complete all required training (KS Train, Relias, Basic CPR, First Aid, CPI) and onboarding within 30 days of hire.
Establish and maintain a working competency in the management and use of the Center's electronic medical record (EMR) software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record.
Responsibly, professionally, and ethically carry out all job duties with minimal supervision
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates largely in various community settings and a home base being a professional office setting at 200 Maine Street Lawrence, Kansas. This role routinely uses standard office and mobile equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and fax machines. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including sitting and standing for periods of time, moving about the building and community, the ability to drive distances in the light and dark with valid driver's license, ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds, and data entry into various computer software programs.
