Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the Integrated Care Program Medical Director position involves oversight of the Bert Nash Center's Integrated Care Program, a service whose focus is population health-based and provides access to or serves as an entry point for physical, mental health, and substance use treatment for patients with serious mental health disorders. This position will have administrative and clinical responsibilities supporting an effective delivery of services involved in the assessment and monitoring of patients with longstanding health concerns.

Specific duties will include:

  • Leadership and oversight of clinical services of the Integrated Care Program and team, including quality, productivity and optimization of care models to respond to patient and community needs.
  • Work in close collaboration with the primary care integrated team to improve the care for the patient population of the Bert Nash Center and increase health equity.
  • Implement strategic plans in collaboration with the primary care integration team to sustain and evolve clinical programs.
  • Implement clinical and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with Bert Nash Center leadership.
  • Support collaborative practice models and integration of behavioral health in primary care.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the position.

Qualifications: The Integrated Care Medical Director position requires

  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Primary Care Medicine
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the care of underserved populations and community health
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care and to the Center's mission and values
  • Licensure in the state of Kansas
