Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $18.75 - $22.50 per hour. Full time, non-exempt, benefits eligible. Responsibilities:  The primary responsibility of the part-time Behavioral Health Specialist will be to provide a range of community-based services specified youth and their families.  Specific duties include but not limited to:

• Providing services as a member of a pool of part-time and full-time BHS to be activated on an as-needed basis for a variety of community-based services.
• Assisting in developing and providing structured activities.
• Maintaining a safe and productive environment during the time spent in attendance with the child/adolescent.
• Providing transportation to and from groups, various activities or appointments as indicated by the treatment plan or as instructed by the QMHP, which may include driving CFS van.
• Providing services in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, the child/adolescent's home, the school, CMHC or another community setting.
• Assisting with the evolution of an effective, efficient program of services.

• Working no more than 19 hours per week (on average) during the calendar year

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as circumstances warrant.

Qualifications:  The Behavioral Health Specialist position requires but not limited to:

• 21 years old; or a minimum of 19 years old and must be at least 3 years older than the children they are providing services for.  
• Prefer some college education in social work, or related field, but not mandatory. Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to pass required security background checks.
• Reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Experience in or knowledge of issues in working with severely emotionally disturbed youth and families is preferred.
• Prior computer experience and basic computer literacy.
• Flexibility in assigned working hours.
• An energetic and positive approach to the rapidly evolving changes and challenges of a complex workplace.
