Pay is commensurate with experience within a range of $20.00 - $27.68 per hour. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, non-exempt and eligible for our benefits. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the ACT Team Employment
Specialist are providing comprehensive supported employment/education to adults
who have significant barriers in vocational or educational areas and
trans-disciplinary intensive, community-based services according to the TMACT
fidelity standards.
Specific duties include but not limited to:
- Serving as
participating a member on a community-based, trans-disciplinary, intensive
supportive service team operating according to TMACT fidelity standards;
- Partnering with
program staff to ensure service quality standards of the program, and
specifically that TMACT fidelity standards are met; and that data collection
and documentation and reporting, outcomes standards, Evidence-Based standards,
and deadlines are met;
- Providing access to a diverse array of community vocational and
educational opportunities, as well as crisis services, and matching these
opportunities with the client's skills, strengths, and interests in
mainstream/normalized settings
- Coordinating
and cooperating with ACT and SEED team members and clientele to formulate and
implement strategies for addressing consumer housing and service needs;
- Providing one-on-one support and on the job coaching
and training as needed to maintain the client in normalized vocational settings
- Developing and maintaining effective employer relations and integrated
job opportunities;
- Coordinating
community-based activities for clients with persistent mental health concerns
to assist them in securing access to and mastering the use of community
services and resources that will both reduce or eliminate the risk of
hospitalization and support independent living in the community;
B. Accountability: The ACT Team Employment Specialist will be
directly accountable to the ACT Program Manager or their designee. ACT Program
Manager or their designee will, no less than annually, complete a performance evaluation
in compliance with personnel policies.
Qualifications: The ACT Team Employment Specialist position includes but not limited to:
Bert Nash requires roof of
Covid-19 immunization prior to starting any position.
Covid-19 vaccine series must be completed or in process to be cleared for new hire
orientation.
- A Bachelor's degree in psychology, social
work, business, human development, counseling, occupational or recreational
therapy, or a related field;
- Preferred work experience in the business
community or experience providing rehabilitation services for disadvantaged
populations;
- Knowledge of community service programs
and resources designed to assist in targeted populations of the county
- A commitment to working with parents
and consumers as partners;
- A commitment to developing cultural
competence in the workplace and in-service delivery;
- Knowledge of or experience in community
mental health
- Reliable transportation; valid,
non-restricted driver's license;
- Prior computer experience and administrative
level computer fluency;
- Must
be able to achieve within one's first 6 months of employment a working competency in the management and use of the Center's
electronic medical records (EMR)
software as demonstrated by timely and accurate documentation of the clinical record.
